How I Became A Homemaker

We recently purchased 12 acres just outside of a smaller town, and are sharing our journey as we build our self-sufficient lifestyle.

I have learned a lot in the last 10 years of becoming more self-sufficient. This feels like the end goal to a dream, but really it's only the beginning. There are so many things you can do to become more self-sufficient no matter what your living arrangement is. The important thing is to start where you are.

How to make time for the things you NEED to do, and still do the things you WANT to do.

How to make time for the things you NEED to do, and still do the things you WANT to do.
I KNOW BUSY.

I live it. Every single day.

So, when I told myself I was writing a blog post today, I made the time to do it. I looked at my list of blog ideas, and realized this topic was perfect.

Which is why I KNOW you need to hear this too.

Off to the garage for the chainsaw... cut that baby down, dropped the mower, and I was back in business.

The dogs and I went for a ride around the property, mowing down bits of weeds.
I took the dogs inside for a water break and decided to mow around the pond....

And that’s where the trouble happened...

When I woke up late on Monday (because I stayed up too late... again), I didn't have time for a slow morning routine before getting ready to go to the vet. I usually write my morning social media posts, emails, and work for a little bit before really getting going for the day.
