The first 30 years of my life, my health fluctuated.
I am a survivor of many things, and have struggled with my relationship with food throughout most of my life.
When I was younger, I would give up chocolate for lent every year. 40 days of no chocolate seemed hard.
When I look back now, I know why my diet and eating habits are the way they are.
II have always worked in a setting where quick unhealthy food was readily available.
When I stopped working at the beginning of 2020, I noticed a few things change. I first noticed that my bank account wasn't seeing as much action, and then noticed that I was losing weight. I had stopped going to Starbucks, Chick Fil A, Wendy's, etc. I was eating more at home.
A lot of us got this experience in 2020 when the shut downs happened, and we all found ourselves staying home more this year. 2020 was a year of health for me.
I am encouraged to become the healthiest I have been in my life. I am going to embark on a series of 40 day challenges to a healthier life.
