1 Month Deep Cleaning Challenge: Conquer Your Bathroom Vanity
Welcome back to the Deep Cleaning Challenge where we're taking on those dusty nooks and crannies one day at a time. Today, we're getting personal and diving into your bathroom vanity and personal care storage spaces. It's time to declutter, clean, and organize all those makeup brushes, half-used bottles of shampoo, and everything in between. So, grab your cleaning supplies, put on some tunes, and let's get to work.

First things first: clear everything out of your vanity. That means shelves, drawers, medicine cabinets, and any other storage spaces you use for personal care products. As you pull things out, sort them into three piles: keep, donate or toss. You might be surprised by how many expired or unused products you have! Once you've made your piles, start cleaning all surfaces with a disinfectant spray or wipes. Scrub down each drawer with a damp cloth and hot soapy water to remove any residue or dirt.

Next, it's time to organize. Start by dividing items by category: skincare, hair care, makeup, etc. Use drawer organizers or baskets to separate different products, making them easy to find and access. For brushes, try a brush holder to keep them upright and clean. If you have a lot of products, consider labeling each drawer or container to easily locate what you need. Don't forget to add a little personal touch with some cute decor or a plant.

Now that you've tackled your vanity, move on to those other personal care storage spaces. That means any towel cabinets, linen closets, and shelves in your bathroom. Follow the same steps as before: empty, clean, sort, and organize. Use shelf dividers or baskets to keep towels and sheets from becoming a jumbled mess. And remember, if you haven't used it in a while or it's expired, it's time to toss it.

One last thing to consider is the hygiene factor. When it comes to things like toothbrushes and razors, it's important to replace them regularly. Experts recommend replacing toothbrushes every three to four months and razors every few uses or when the blades become dull. Check expiration dates on other products, like makeup and sunscreen, to ensure they are still effective and safe to use.

Congratulations! You've conquered Day 10 of the Deep Cleaning Challenge. Your bathroom vanity and personal care storage spaces are now clean, organized, and clutter-free. Go ahead and take a deep breath and admire your handiwork. You've earned it! Remember to keep up the good work and stick to a regular cleaning and organizing routine. Before you know it, you'll have a home that's clean and comfortable from top to bottom.
